Getting to Brussels

Brussels International Airport (Zaventem) is situated approximately 12 kms from the European Parliament. The airport railway station is located below the terminal (basement level -1). Up to four trains an hour connect the airport to the three main Brussels railway stations - Brussels North, Brussels Central and Brussels Midi.   These in turn are connected to the Brussels Luxembourg station, which is located 200 metres from the European Parliament.

Buses 12 and 21 run from the airport to Place du Luxembourg.

The Société  des Transports Intercommunaux de Bruxelles (STIB) is the main public transport operator in Brussels.  STIB trams, buses and underground trains form a single network, and you can  easily switch from one to the other using the same ticket.  Buses 27 and 39 run from the city centre to Place Luxembourg.  You can take underground lines 1 or 5 to Maelbeek or Schuman or lines 2 or 6 to Trone (both about 10 minutes walk to Parliament).
