30 April 2007 - Francis Jacobs speaks about climate change in Sligo IT

On Monday, 30th April, the Head of the European Parliament Office in Ireland, Francis Jacobs, travelled to Sligo to speak to students at the Institute of Technology. Francis spoke to an audience of 75 students, representing a wide range of disciplines in the college, about the challenges associated with climate change. A lively debate followed his speech.

Prior to the event, Francis was interviewed on Ocean FM about his views on climate change.

The event was organised by three students: Thomas Hannigan, Lorraine Gallagher and Niamh Boyle (pictured making a presentation to Francis).
