For solid background information in a policy field, please consult Parliament's Think Tank - an online platform - to systematically search the many Parliament studies, library briefings, impact assessment and European added value papers, STOA and economic dialogue documentation, surveys on public opinion and EU fact sheets. This online platform brings together all sources of EP expertise and provides high quality information.
The Fact Sheets were created in 1979 for Parliament’s first direct elections. Since then, they have been regularly reviewed and revised. They are intended to provide non‑specialists with a straightforward and concise overview of the European Union’s institutions and policies, and of the role that Parliament plays in their development.
