Visiting the European Parliament

Groups and individuals may visit Parliament's premises in Brussels, Strasbourg and Luxembourg.

BRUSSELS
Brussels is at the heart of the European Union. Along with the European Council and the Commission, Brussels also hosts the European Parliament. The EP's committees meet here and Parliament also holds some of its plenary sessions in Brussels.

Discover the Parliament and its plenary chamber with the help of a handheld media-guide. The tour lasts around an hour and takes you through the main EP building.

At our Visitors' Centre (Parlementarium), dynamic, interactive multimedia displays will guide you through the journey of European integration and the impact it has on our everyday lives.

STRASBOURG
Strasbourg is the official seat of the European Parliament. Each month, Members gather here for four days to vote and debate in a series of meetings known as plenary sessions.

Whether rejecting, amending or adopting proposals, this week is a high-point in the EU's law-making process. Visitors are invited to sit in on these sessions, and to find out more about this representative body in an informative talk lasting approximately one hour.

Chamber tours for groups and individuals
You can visit the European Parliament chamber in Strasbourg both during and outside the very lively plenary weeks. Guided tours are organised for groups of 20-45 people. There are a limited number of places for individual visitors during plenary sessions only. Visitors must be at least 14 years old. Secondary school pupils can also arrange trips as part of Euroscola.
