TY students from Gorey Community School at the European Parliament
A group of transition students from Gorey Community School in Co. Wexford braved the elements yesterday and travelled to Dublin to visit the European Parliament information office. The students were informed about the European Parliament, the Irish MEPs, the day-to-day schedule of an MEP and how the European Union functions. The group viewed the DVD 'Ireland and the EU' which gives details of Ireland's membership of the EU. The group then took part in our quiz and congratulations to all on their high scores. Well done to Team 'Stars' who were the overall winners.
