Portlaoise College visits the European Parliament
The European Parliament's Dublin Office welcomed a group of 6th year business students and Post-Leaving Certificate students from Portlaoise College today.
Following a presentation on the European Parliament and the work of our MEPs the group viewed a DVD on Ireland's membership of the EU. Harry O'Connor explained how European legislation is formed. Harry also covered policies such as the CAP, the Single Market, the Habitats Directive and a very lively questions and answers session followed.
