Yesterday's torrential rain did not deter an enthusiastic group of third year students from Wilson's Hospital School from making the trip to Dublin to visit the information office of the European Parliament. As part of their CSPE studies the students found out about the European Union and its institutions and in particular the work of the European Parliament and its MEPs. The DVD 'Ireland and the EU' put Ireland's membership of the EU in context and 11 teams participated in our quiz. Full marks go to the winning team 'Blackshirts' with an incredible 25 out of 25 - well done!! The group combined their Parliament trip with a visit to the Dáil in the afternoon.
